Stand Up Jet Ski

Jet Ski is a popularized term for Personal Watercrafts that was used by Kawasaki Heavy Industries in the 70s. Since then had many different versions from various manufacturers worldwide.  Contrary to popular belief, there are other versions of the Jet Ski other than the most commonly seen sit-down types, one of which is the stand up Jet Ski.

Handlebars and Leverage

The stand up Jet Ski is a watercraft that consists of the usual parts of a PWC, but instead of the rider sitting on it while driving, the rider stands on his feet and holds on to the handlebars for leverage.  This type of Jet Ski is typically designed for a single passenger and is best used by people who prefer to take their Jet Ski riding experience to a different level.  Some professional riders take a fancy of the stand up Jet Ski primarily because it gives the user improved mobility and trains him to ride the Jet Ski better.

Using a stand up Jet Ski can be compared to having a full-body workout that is both fun and exciting.  Your endurance will also be enhanced when you ride this watercraft, because your whole body controls its movement.  Both your upper and lower limbs can be trained and toned perfectly by riding the stand up Jet Ski even better than going to a gym.

Balance and Posture

Balance and posture is important in riding a stand up Jet Ski, as it is very sensitive to every movement you make.  It is like surfing but instead of depending on the waves for movement, an engine controls the speed of the watercraft.  It is more stable than a surfboard so you can easily learn how to ride it without requiring you to balance yourself intensively.  If you fall off the Jet Ski, the safety key that is attached to it as an accessory will trigger the engine to stop and therefore keeps you and other people nearby from being hit by the watercraft.

If you are a beginner in riding a stand up Jet Ski, you can practice at a low speed first to find your balance.  Also, try practicing making turns as you gradually increase your speed.  When you think you are ready, press the throttle lever further so the Jet Ski will go faster.  Continuous use of a stand up Jet Ski will eventually lead to you becoming familiar with the feel of riding it.  Who knows, you might even learn a trick or two as you go along the way.
